Ken Wagner, PhD

BEARS welcomes Ken Wagner, PhD to our Board of Advisors. As Vice President of Aubrey Daniels International, Inc. (A global consulting firm focusing on performance management, strategy and initiative execution, behavioral safety, culture change and all aspects of bringing out the best in individuals and organizations), Ken has served public and private sector organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and high hazard and knowledge-based environments within the US, Europe, South America, and Asia.

He leverages the “science of behavior” with strong business and technological agility to strengthen executives’ skills as leaders, coaches and mentors. We look forward to working with Ken as we refine, design, and implement the leadership development and coaching process of Adherence Management.

We welcome Dr. Rob Haley to the Board of Advisors. Dr. Haley is currently a Professor of Health Policy and Administration at the University of North Florida's (UNF) Brooks College of Health. He is also the former Director of the Department of Public Health's Health Administration Program. His research is focused on the delivery and financing of healthcare in a rapidly changing and global economy. He is a J. William Fulbright Senior Specialist in Global and Public Health and is serving as a Fellow with the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).

Dr. Haley is serving as senior advisor on healthcare reform with Shandong University’s Center for Health Policy and Management in Shandong, China. Dr. Haley served as Senior Director of Health Policy and Research for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and also as a Director of Planning at a large integrated delivery system. He consults with business leaders and government officials on health policy, leadership, management and healthcare reform.

Dr. Haley earned his Ph.D. in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Gillings School of Public Health, his MBA from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business Administration, and his MHA from the University of Florida’s College of Public Health and Health Professions.

Dr. Marco Aurgart


Dr. Marco Augart, is the newest member of the BEARS Advisory Board and brings a unique set of qualifications. The BEARS approach to improving adherence and reducing unplanned readmissions requires not only behaviorists, but health services professionals with experience in direct patient care and nursing care.

Dr. Augart began his health services career as a Disney World paramedic as a graduate from Florida Southern College EMT program in Lakeland, FL. While attending nursing school at Polk State College in Winter Haven, FL., he did an internship at the Threshold Center for Autism, where he gained an appreciation and experience in applied behavior science and developmental disabilities. Upon graduating from nursing school, he worked as an intensive care nurse at the Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, FL. Wishing to extend his talents in medicine, he was accepted into medical school.

Dr. Augart is a graduate in medicine from the Heidelberg School of Medicine, Heidelberg, Germany. His medical career continued as he completed a research fellowship at the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC and completed clinical electives at Chapel Hill, NC in general, trauma/emergency surgery and transplant surgery. In 2011, he completed a clinical rotation in neurosurgery, burns and plastic surgery at the Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa.

He has presented poster sessions at the 8th International Congress of Chinese Orthopedic Association in Beijing, China; Pan Pacific Orthopedic Congress of the International Congress for Joint Reconstruction; Wake Forest School of Medicine, and given podium presentations in Toronto, Canada; London, UK; Palm Beach, FL; Winston-Salem, NC; Honolulu, HI; Milano, Italy; New Orleans, LA; Orlando, FL, and has numerous peer reviewed articles as lead author and has a number of articles accepted for publication.
